Social Outreach

We believe that God cares deeply for the disadvantaged, the needy, the poor and the suffering and that we as His people have a mandate to pursue social justice. As a result, we are involved in a number of outreach projects. We have a close relationship to the Crows Nest Community Centre as well as with Hope Street in Woolloomooloo, and have partnered with them over the past two and a half years to reach out to the community.

We encourage our Life Groups to choose a social
outreach project to commit to each term. Groups have
chosen to support projects as varied as cooking meals
to be distributed to those in need, providing support to
rural churches on short trips with Soul Survivor,
sending gifts to the Salvation Army for distribution and
joining together last September to host a free clothes
swap for the Crows Nest community.

We have an ongoing commitment to Beyond Disability,
an initiative of Baptist World Aid Australia which
targets long-term, sustainable solutions to help create
healthy communities, increase household income and
work towards empowering people with disabilities in Cambodia. For more information on Beyond Disability, click here.

We also financially support an intern working at Micah Challenge and actively participate in their annual conference, Voices for Justice.
